TAMIYA TT-01 Hop-up Options

Hop-up Options are very issential for today R/C hobby. Some of us buy Hop-up to improve the handling of our TT-01 and further widen the possibility of setting the car up to achieve better lap time or to suit each driving style. On this section we will cover what Hop-Up are required to let you have a smoother and easlier drive on the track. We have grouped them into stages to ease your pocket and for those who wish to have carry the TAMIYA anodised blue 'bling' factor...we have also created a section on that.We have rated each item with factor of 1 to 5 to indicate the effect of improving your car.So read on to find out!

Stage 1 Hop-Up

For this stage we recommend parts that have the most immediate and crutial effect on the off the box basic TT-01 kit.

Item # 53620

TT-01 Aluminum Propeller Shaft

Price : 500 YEN

Hop-Up Factor : 5

As you may have notice on your standard kit the centre propeller shaft supplied are made of normal plastic which is a very weak material to be used for such a important part on a shaft car.Because of this reason you may have alot of power loss over throttle off during flag off as the torque of the motor may have created a force which may warp or twist the stock centre shaft.During those head on crashes the impact will also cause the centre shaft to even snap into half at times.Which is why this part is a very very important part for hop-up.The aluminum shaft once replaced will give you a better drive force transfer from the motor to both drive gear boxes. This will also prolong the life of the drive train as the shaft is more durable upon times of impact.

Item # 53620

TT-01 Ball Bearing Set

Price : 1500 YEN

Hop-Up Factor : 5

The standard TT-01 kit came with plastic bushing with is to be installed on your drive train. If your TT-01 is running on full bushings you will notice that the movement of the drive train will not be smooth and will even be binding and cause lots of friction which will result in alot of drive force lose due to these few factors.Over times the plastic bushings may warp and give way resulting in loose moving parts and cause that particular part to be warp also.Which is why this Hop-Up is highly recommended. With proper greasing and running in,the ball bearings it will greatly make the drive train smoother
